Trees

Inspired by a lovely walk through a park the children and I went on today, and a book we borrowed from the library, we have made our own tree books.

 

I cut out the silhouette of a tree and made them each a book.
 (I hope you can see that the tree spilts across the four pages.)
 

 

The children then decorated the tree with leaves, each section depicting a different season.

 

 

The pages open up to show some written work about each season.

 

 

I hope to do a lot more nature work with the children this year.  They love spending time outdoors and it is such a joy to share the beauty of God's creation with them.

 

 

 

"Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.  But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
