Sundays

As family we enjoy spending Sundays together, worshipping the Lord and finding out more about
Him.  After church we share a fellowship meal together with our church family.

At home we like to read together.
We have an unabridged copy of The Pilgrim's Progress that we bought from a second hand bookshop, with 19th Century illustrations which the children love.

We also really like the Bible stories told by Carine MacKenzie, we have nearly all of them.
They are very accurate and beautifully illustrated.

Every Sunday afternoon we watch a DVD from the "Torchlighters" series which depict the life of well known Christians such as John Bunyan, William Tyndale and Gladys Aylward.

The children enjoy these colouring books from the Trinitarian Bible Society.

Sometimes we do some art work based upon a Bible story.
Any guesses as to which story this is based upon?

Just before the children go to bed on Sundays, they act out a story from the Bible.  They spend some time before church planning, practising and organising the costumes for it.  This week was Joshua and Rahab. (Taken from Joshua chapter 6.)
Marching around Jericho.

The cast takes a bow.

We have also had puppet shows. Nathanael made these puppets for the story of Daniel.

"Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy."
Exodus 20:8
