Easter School!

To complete Tabitha and Abigail's current project on farm animals, we visited our local farm.

Nathanael and Tabitha attended a felt making workshop at the Hat Works in Stockport.

We made Easter cards,

Easter bonnets

and chocolate nest cakes!

The weather has been delightful, so we have made the most of it and spent a lot of time outdoors at parks,

den building in the woods

and we even got the paddling pools out in the garden!

Even though the children enjoy eating their Easter eggs and taking part in crafts and activities, we hope that they understand the true meaning of why we remember this time of year. In our Bible time, we have been using a devotional book, taking us through the Biblical account of the crucifixion and resurrection. One of our favourite hymns we like to sing together is Low in the Grave He Lay by Robert Lowry.

Low in the grave He lay—
  Jesus my Saviour!
Waiting the coming day—
Jesus my Lord!

Up from the grave He arose,
With a mighty triumph o’er His foes
He arose a Victor from the dark domain,
And He lives forever with His saints to reign.
He arose! He arose! Hallelujah! Christ arose!

Vainly they watch His bed
Jesus, my Saviour!
Vainly they seal the dead—
Jesus my Lord!

Death cannot keep his prey—
 Jesus, my Saviour!
He tore the bars away—
 Jesus my Lord!

Hope you all have an enjoyable Resurrection Sunday.
