Summer School - Part 1

The UK has been enjoying glorious sunshine for the last few weeks and one of the benefits of Home Education is that you can make the most of it.

Formal schooling still continues however with

handwriting,

copy work from Ephesians 4:32 "Be ye kind..."

poetry,

maths and

artist studies.  The children have had fun in the garden creating art work in the style of Jackson Pollock (making a lot of mess!)

Vincent Van Gogh.

One of the highlights of the week for the children was Stockport Carnival. They happily helped out with a church stall giving away free refreshments and gospel tracts.

There was time also to enjoy an ice-cream and a ride on the fairground.

Our Week

It was a rainy start to the week.

Making music in the park at Broadbottom.
We made a rain gauge to measure the amount of rain that had fallen in our garden.

Yes Tabitha is wearing one shoe and one welly. It is very difficult in our house to find matching footwear!
The kitchen windows were brightened up with artwork (collage materials on sticky back plastic.)

In History the children had a quiz to test their knowledge of the Edwardians. They played guess the Edwardian item. The chocolates were the prizes.

The sun came out at the end of the week for Miriam's 2nd Birthday.

Where have last two years gone? Happy Birthday precious girl, we love you loads.

Baby Miriam and Mummy.

Lo, children are a heritage of the LORD:
and the fruit of the womb is his reward.
Psalm 127:3
